Privacy Policy for PDF Reader - File Manager

This policy covers the Android application identified by com.northpixel.searchlight.pdfreader.

Local processing

Search indexes, favorite paths, document text, PDF pages, file metadata, and deletion choices are processed on the device. This release has no server component and does not send those materials to its publisher.

Storage capability

All files access supports the app's central promise: finding and managing compatible files throughout shared storage. The app reads only to index or display an item and changes storage only after an action such as confirmed deletion.

APK handoff

An APK selected by the user is staged temporarily inside private cache and exposed to the Android package installer through a time-limited read grant. Installation remains under Android and the user's control.

Collection and sharing

No analytics, ads, telemetry, accounts, or remote uploads are implemented. Consequently, this version does not sell or share personal data.

Retention

Favorite paths stay in local preferences until changed or the app's data is cleared. Temporary installer copies may be removed by Android with the rest of the cache.
